I was asked to write a blog for CVR’s website on social media. However, going against direction, as a creative thinker sometimes does, I decided to write about CVR and doing, “Whatever It Takes.”
You’re probably thinking, “Cool, write a biased blog about the place you work. What a novel idea!"
Let me take a step back. I started working at Caldwell VanRiper just six months ago. Prior to that, I spent 10+ years working at a number of different-sized agencies, from full service to specialty shops, in three states and five different cities. A couple years ago, my wife and I discussed going “Back Home Again.”
It wasn’t an easy choice as we love traveling and have made amazing friends everywhere we’ve lived. But as we begin to start our own family (first Baby T is due Sept. 2015!) and look to establish our roots, there is only one place that has always felt like home…Indiana.
Ok, enough about me, back to the blog.
CVR penned the tagline “Whatever It Takes” for our client, Bryant Heating and Cooling and the folks who live by that mantra every day. Whether it’s the men and women in the manufacturing and testing facilities, or the dealers installing the systems, they go above and beyond in their jobs to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
So what do I mean when I say CVR does “Whatever It Takes?”
Great question! I’ll explain...
Since starting here, I’ve seen each department and every individual in the agency go beyond the call of duty to ensure the job is done and done right. No cutting corners. Each deliverable, even those on tight timelines (#AgencyLife) is completed while maintaining both strategic and creative integrity. We push our clients and, as we like to say, “make them a little uncomfortable.” Meaning, we are consistently delivering innovative ideas and thinking about the bigger picture, rather than just the task at hand.
Whether it’s driving two hours at 5 a.m. for a last minute video shoot, spending Memorial weekend at a client event, coming in early and staying late at night to make sure the job is done or going to back-to-back-to-back photo shoots, the talented people at CVR have what IT TAKES, and I’m proud to be a part of such a team.
With all that said, we still find time to have fun. The people at CVR make even the hard work seem, well, not so hard. Everyone pitches in, and we partner with some of the finest production folks on the planet.
I know there are a lot of agencies out there that bust their butts as much as CVR. To everyone in the advertising world, keep doing Whatever It Takes!
