The new CVR website went live this week. There was polite golf applause, a final search for typos, and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment sprinkled with a hint of relief. We did it. We knocked out a website for the toughest client we have: Us.
What you’re looking at today started with a creative brief and a group of art directors who went AWOL to design the new site after hours. From there, wireframes, content maps, and SEO became part of our daily lives. We put client work first, but kept moving the website forward. Blogs were written, movie lines sniped and an endless supply of pizza and beer fueled the run to the finish line. It wasn’t easy, but then work never is.
There was just one question: Now what?
Well, after we edited a quick, behind-the-scenes video, we went back to work. Suddenly, one question turned into many. What did we learn about ourselves? How will our clients benefit? Why send an email when you can walk down the hall? When’s the first update? What else is overheard at CVR?
We got to work on those answers and then we remembered the site is launched (yay!), but it’ll never be finished. There will be new work, new people, new ideas. But for a few days, we can step back, be thankful for the effort, the patience, and the thinking. But most of all, we’re thankful for the people who call CVR home and the clients who trust us with their most cherished asset…their brands.
