Digital Strategist or Senior Digital Strategist

Are you active in social media and have experience creating and executing digital strategies?

As a Digital Strategist, your primary role will be leading and implementing digital and content strategies on behalf of our clients. You'll will be in charge of the day-to-day management of social media strategy and channels, with a particular focus on how all platforms work together to meet our client’s goals. The position also includes writing, monitoring and responding, reporting and creative brainstorming.

Day-to-day tasks will vary and includes developing social strategies, creating content, attending client meetings and events, planning and managing paid social media campaigns, to finding ways to integrate social media into overall marketing campaigns.

You will also be looked upon for general social media expertise. As a social media expert, you will be expected to understand the dynamics of all the different social media environments and be able to navigate the space comfortably. Other responsibilities will include educating the agency on trends in social media and content, writing POVs, project management, research, and evangelizing social media throughout the agency.

Job Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of social media and community management experience
  • Agency experience preferred but not required
  • Experience creating organic and paid digital and social media strategies
  • Background in email marketing and eCommerce (Shopify, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of the social media landscape
  • Comfortable using Google Drive and Microsoft Teams
  • Managing process and helping draw insights from Google Data Studio dashboards
  • Proficient experience with and understanding of social media channels, their respective audiences, management and listening tools
  • Experience with content and community management tools like Falcon.io, HubSpot, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Professionally and personally active and well versed on major platforms in the social media space (i.e. Facebook, Instagram Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs, WordPress)
  • Strong verbal, written, proofing and creative skills required.
  • Help with preproduction on shoots including sourcing props.
  • Assisting designers with photo and video shoots in CVR’s studio or on location
  • Help concept content ideas and manage art directors and animators on execution.
  • Develop strategy and execute plans for quarterly campaigns 
  • Media planning and buying experience in social media Ad Managers is a huge plus.
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Reports to Vice President of Digital Engagement
  • Ability to jump from the creative side to the strategy and analytical side, demonstrating why ideas are analytically sound. Focus on outcomes over outputs.
  • Bonus Points (not required): familiarity with creative software apps like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or photography
